groceryAI is operated by Adam Robbie ("we", "us"). Using the app means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
1. Your account
You need an account. Signing in is a 6-digit code emailed to you, so keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read your inbox can reach your account.
You must be at least 13 (16 in the UK and EEA). One person, one account. Please tell us promptly if you think someone else is using yours.
2. What the app does
It plans meals, builds shopping lists, and tracks your pantry. Some features use AI to group shopping-list items, read pantry photos, and suggest weeks.
AI output is a suggestion, not advice. Please check it.
⚠️ Allergies and dietary requirements
The app has allergen filters, and they operate on recipe data that may be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on groceryAI to keep you safe from an allergen. Always read the actual ingredients and packaging. If you have a serious allergy or a medical dietary requirement, treat the app as a planning convenience only.
The app is not a source of nutritional, medical or dietary advice. Nutrition figures come from recipe sources and are not verified by us.
3. Recipe packs and payment
Packs are one-off, non-consumable purchases sold through the App Store.
- Apple takes the payment. We never see your card details
- A pack you buy stays available on your Apple ID, restorable via Settings → Recipe packs → Restore purchases
- Prices are shown in your own currency by the App Store before you confirm
- Buying a pack grants access to use the recipes in the app — not ownership of them, and not the right to republish them
Packs can change: recipes may be added, corrected or removed. We will not gut a pack you paid for, but we cannot promise its contents are frozen.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store's terms. Ask via reportaproblem.apple.com. If you believe you have been charged in error, email us and we will help, but the refund decision is Apple's. Statutory refund rights where you live are unaffected.
If Apple refunds a purchase, we may remove the corresponding access.
4. Your content
Your meal plans, pantry and lists are yours. We claim no ownership. We store and process them only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Our content
Recipes, pack content and the app itself are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. You may use them personally. You may not republish, redistribute, resell or use them to build a competing product, and you may not scrape or bulk-extract the recipe library.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not: break the law with it; try to access another customer's data; probe, attack or overload the service; reverse-engineer it except where law permits; resell access; or automate it to run up our AI costs.
Fair-use limits apply to AI features. Sustained abnormal usage may be rate limited — the app keeps working without AI when that happens.
7. Availability
We aim to keep it running and make no promise that we will. It may be unavailable for maintenance, and features may change or be withdrawn. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will give reasonable notice and, where a recently bought pack is made unusable, a fair refund.
8. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. Bought packs stay restorable through Apple.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not serious, we will warn you first.
9. Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything arising from your reliance on AI output or allergen data.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of what you have paid us in the past 12 months or £50.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Apple
You acknowledge that these terms are between you and us, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app; that if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, and that to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal-compliance or intellectual-property claims; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law where you live.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting them.
